Metro de Sevilla installs chargers for electric vehicles:

Another step forward in Globalvia's innovation strategy!

Metro de Sevilla is already positioned as a benchmark for sustainable mobility in the Andalusian city, with the installation of electric vehicle chargers in the parking lot of the San Juan Bajo station.

This initiative, which has been carried out in collaboration with the company Cable Energía, allows for the simultaneous charging of two electric vehicles with a maximum power of 22kW per outlet, although this number may be increased to 16 depending on the demand for this new service.

Energy used emissions at the new charging points is, as is all the energy consumed by the Seville metropolitan area, of 100% renewable origin from the energy recovered when the trains brake, from the solar panels on the roofs of the workshops and depots or from the energy that the Concessionaire acquires from suppliers that certify its 100% renewable origin.

By installing these chargers, Metro de Sevilla takes a further step towards the use of clean energy in transport and thus joins Globalvia's commitment to intermodality and sustainable mobility. This initiative is part of the Group's innovation strategy, "Innglovation", which already includes the Autopista del Aconcagua in Chile, the A23-Beira Interior in Portugal and Ruta 27 in Costa Rica.
